Vintage Leaves and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

What to do with leftover Halloween DSP(designer series paper)?  If the paper is the Halloween Night Specialty DSP you are in luck.  Most of the sheets in this pack have a "Halloweenie" side but the other side is much more neutral.  Sure, the color scheme still includes Pumpkin Pie but the designs just might work for other occasions.  I used the flip side of the sheet that has pumpkins and dots for my card for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #431.

Here is the sketch.

Isn't it a great simple sketch?

I stamped all the leaves with Early Espresso ink on Old Olive, Soft Suede, and Crushed Curry card stock.  I cut out the Vintage Leaves using the Leaflets thinlits.   I did a little sponging on the leaves with Pumpkin Pie ink.   I cut the "congrats" using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits out of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper.  The Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper is beautiful and a nice addition to the colors already available.

I am also entering this card in the SUO Challenge,  Fall Fun.

Be sure to check out what the other Create with Connie and Mary Design team members created for the challenge and then be sure enter your own creation in the challenge.

  1. What a super way to use up that Halloween paper! This is one of 5he things I love about stampin up. They are so smart to put a neutral side on the flip side of the often themed papers. They make it so versitile! Your leaves work wonderfully with the sketch this week! Well done!

  2. I am so happy that there were patterns in this Halloween paper that weren’t just for Halloween. Makes the paper more versatile. Love your fall card…especially the glimmer “congrats”!
