Red, White and Blue Leaves CCMC413
Welcome to the Thursday Create with Connie and Mary Challenge! This week it is a sketch challenge. Are you ready to see the sketch?
It is another wonderful sketch. Lots of possibilities. I decided since the 4th of July is coming up I would make something using red, white and blue.
I used the beautiful Flourish Thinlits to cut the Real Red, Night of Navy and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper leaves. The leaves are very detailed and beautiful. The banner is from the Number of Years stamp set. This is a photopolymer set which means I could manipulate the stamp to make it curved. The "celebrating" is from the Crazy About You set. I finished off the banner with 2 stars from the Brights Enamel Shapes.
Be sure to check out what the other members of the Create with Connie and Mary design team created for the Challenge. I am always inspired by the creativity of the Design team. I hope you will also join in the fun!
This is probably the most classy independence day card I’ve ever seen and I like it! The clean and simple design is refreshing yet you managed to get a bit of sparkle in there with the glimmer paper. Love it!
I was thinking the same thing as Jenny E. I really like design with the red, white and blue leaves – very patriotic but with a twist. Great idea!
Love this, Sharon….this leaf is my favorite out of all these dies!
What a great patriotic card Sharon – I love the use of the glimmer paper for added sparkle and the red enamel stars on your banner. Beautiful!
I love all the dimension and texture you have here with just a few clean elements! Popping that middle leaf up with the help of the banner is really clever – what a great look!
How fun! 4th of July colors for a fun celebration card! Love the use of the glimmer paper for one of the branches.
Love your 4th of July theme for the sketch. It’s a very beautiful and elegant card Sharon (as always) 🙂
I loved your card Sharon! It’s simply wonderful! I had to pin it too! Thanks for the inspiration.
