Needle & Thread in Mostly Black & White

This year I am trying something new, instead of resolutions I decided to do 19 in 2019.  Let me explain.  I chose 19 things to do this year.  These things range from one time projects to daily habits.

One of the 19, on my list was to blog 16 times in a month.  This I thought was a modest goal and something I could easily do.  I had originally had the idea that it should be 19 times but scaled it back a bit so I would be sure to hit this goal. This morning I counted up the posts I have written in January and counting tomorrow's post I was at 15!  All that to explain why I am posting later than usual.

Back to my comfort zone of using black and white with a little color, in this case Daffodil Delight.  Love the Needle & Thread bundle, especially the die  that creates the perforated/stitched design on the card.  I need more of these!  The strip of black and white gingham is from the Botanical Butterfly DSP which is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices and is free with a $50 purchase.  As much as I love the butterfly designs on this paper, I think the black and white gingham is my very favorite.

  1. I love your “19 new things in 2019” idea. What are some of the other things on your list? I love your cards by the way. Your designs are always some of my daily favorites!

  2. Hi Ann! Thank you for your interest in my 19 in 2019. So far I like it way more than resolutions. The 19 are a mix of personal, family and stamping/business items. Some personal goals-walk 11,000 steps a day, there have been many a night I have walked around my family room and kitchen to get this one done. So far I have done this every day! Another personal goal was to read 12 books. I listen to a lot of books but do not read as much as I would like so I made this goal so I would actually read books. In January I read 3 books and listened to 8.
Another of the 19 was to send 19 cards a month. I sent 23!. There have also been some that I didn’t achieve like try 4 new recipes a month. I only tried one. I need to figure out how to get this one done or maybe modify it. One of my favorite is to take 12 classes this year. I want to make sure I keep on learning new things. I took a class and learned how to use a laser to personalize a tumbler. That was a lot of fun and certainly something new to me. My son also is doing this and it has been a lot of fun talking about it. If you have any other questions, let me know!
