From Trash to Butterflies

I was working on making these little holders for the Salads and Stamping class.  007 copy

I thought they would be a cute way to identify the different salads.  The binder clips were packaged in a clear plastic box and it seemed like I should be able to re- use the box.   Here is what I came up with.

007 copy

I cut the plastic box up and ran it through the Big Shot and the SU! Beautiful Butterflies die.  I then stamped it with the Fresh Cuts set inked in Black Stazon.

Stamps:  Fresh Cuts

Ink:  Black Stazon

Paper:  Brushed Silver and Black

Extras:  Clear Rhinestone brads, BIg Shot, SU! Finial Press folder, SU! Beautiful Butterflies die, and a plastic box headed for the trash.

The Big Shot certainly has changed the way I look at different materials.  Plastic packaging destined for the trash can become butterflies,  makes you stop and think about all the possibilities.  Now go and craft and let me know what you found to turn into a treasure!

  1. The butterflies are great. I am into recycling big time. I used plastic for the Big Shot Bigz lattice die. It turned out interesting. The little cut out parts are very interesting. I’m thinking “stained glass”.
