Birthday Blooms

It has been at least a couple of weeks since I stamped with the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  It seems like it was all I was using so I needed to give it a rest.  When I saw the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #164 I knew it was time to bring it back and play with it.

Birthday Blooms with Square frames

First I heat embossed the flower using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.   I colored in the flowers using an Aqua Painter and Pink Pirouette and Rose Red ink refills.   I fussy cut the flower but made the decision to cut off the parts that are more intricate to make it quicker and easier.  I used the Squares Collection framelits to cut out the squares.  The larger square (square #5, 1 being the smallest square) was cut on the Shimmery White card stock and #4 square on the Pink Pirouette card base.

Pink Pirouette card base: 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"

Shimmery White: 4" x 5-1/4" cut 2  (one for the inside of the card and one for the outside), 3" x 4" to stamp and emboss the flower
