Stampers Dozen Blog Hop…Snowy Days

SDBH Banner

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who hop together on the 14th of the month.  This month the theme is Snowy Days.

I have to explain myself.  Last year we moved to the Midwest to be closer to our son.  We made the decision that as long as we could, we would leave for part of the winter and spend time somewhere warmer.  I packed up some stamping supplies (mostly items from the 2024 Jan-April Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration) and we luckily left just ahead of very cold, snowy weather.  Once we got settled I started working on my project for this blog hop and well, you guessed it I brought along nothing snow related.  What to do?  I decided that I wanted to participate in the hop and instead of snow would bring some sunshine to those being affected by the bitter cold and snow.

I used the Beach Days bundle and the Sunny Days DSP (Sale-A-Bration gift).  The Sunny Days DSP  had this perfect sheet of clouds for my beach scene background. I also used the diagonal pattern from the DSP for a layer.  The only die I used that wasn't from the Beach Days bundle is the Lemon Lolly circle.  This was cut using the Everyday Details Dies.   I love how the seagulls turned out.  They were inked in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with a Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend.
