Hello, Lovely and the Fancy Flower Punch
Last night I went out for a walk in an effort to get to my goal of 10,000 steps and along the way I spied this beauty.
When I got home I headed straight for my craft room and tried to recreate bloom.

My flower is a poor imitation of nature but it was fun trying to recreate the flower using paper, punches, and ink.
Product List
To make the flower I punched out 12 Creped Filter paper using the Fancy Flower punch. I was able to punch about 6 layers at a time. I stacked the flowers and then stapled them together. I crinkled, fluffed and seperated each layer. I spritzed the flower using a Stampin' Spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and Cherry Cobbler re-inker. Once the flower dried, I crinkled and fluffed it until I was satisfied with it.
I wanted to do a little more to the card so I decided to emboss the black card stock using the Beautiful Baroque folder. I still wanted to do more so I lightly brushed a VersaMark pad over the raised portions of the embossed design. I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it so I would have a shiny raised design.
If you want to make your own flowers you are in luck. The Fancy Flower punch is on the Weekly Deal and is 25% off the catalog price. The Weekly Deal started on April 1 and will end on the 7th or while supplies last. I am working on more posts featuring the Weekly Deal items so stay tuned!
