Happy Birthday Thinlits and the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge

It is Tuesday and time for the Try Stampin'on Tuesday  Challenge!

Here are the challenge colors.

I used the colors Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Powder Pink.  I realize now that the pink I used is a little lighter than the one in the challenge picture.  We could also use any neutral and I am sure you knew I was going to use black.  

I used the Happy Birthday thinlits and cut it out in Powder Pink.  I used sponge daubers and added the Pool Party and then transitioned to Bermuda Bay.  I got this idea from Jenny Engelke.   I then inked up the thinlit with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I actually repeated the embossing process to get a really shiny look.   I cut the die again on a piece of Basic Black card stock.   To make it easier  I attached a piece of black card stock behind the area I cut out the words.  Why?  When I fitted the words into the black card stock I did not have to worry about putting the little pieces back in. 

I also cut out and embossed the little flowers from the Flourish thinlits.
