DIY Calendar Blog Hop: August 2025

Mini Calendar Blog Hop Banner

It is the first of the month which means it is time for the DIY Calendar blog hop!  On the first of every month we get together and share our calendar page for the month.  The calendar template was created by Anne aka the Maui Stamper. What do you think of when you think of August?  August reminds me that the days of summer are nearing the end.  The days are getting shorter and soon the colors around us will be changing to a different palette.  It is time to savor all that is summer so I will be ready to embrace the next season.

DIY-August

I used the Charming Day dies (Online Exclusive) and cut it out in Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I cut the die again in Melon Mambo cardstock.  I wanted to use the brightest color to remind me of all the beautiful flowers and colors of summer.  I trimmed away the leaves from the Melon Mambo cardstock and glued them over the Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I cut the flowers one more time in Pretty in Pink CS.  I used scraps and placed them in the flower centers.  I glued the little Pretty in Pink  centers into the Melon Mambo flowers.  This step is a little fussy but I like how it looks.

I die cut the label in Pretty in Pink and stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink.  The sentiment is from a retired set,  Beach Day.  I thought is was the perfect one to remind me to really enjoy  August.

Finally I layered the calendar in both Mossy Meadow and Melon Mambo cardstock.  I added 3 rhinestones to make it sparkle.

Now it is time for you to check out the rest of the stops on the hop.  It is always fun to see how everyone else decorated their calendar.

  1. I love that you chose Melon Mambo – it’s a perfect color for August! And I especially love your double mat – sometimes I do that, but not often enough. It’s so classy.
