Beautiful Wings and Hope

I have been going through a pile of magazines that I was not able to get rid of before I moved.  These are mostly crafting magazines and I wanted to go through them again just to be sure to glean all the inspiration I could out of them.   I found this design and added a few SU tweaks to it.

The DSP I used here is Springtime Vintage.
I love the look of the card and decided I needed to make another one but this one with a message of hope.  The news is filled with so much sadness and devastation. 

The DSP I used is from the (new) Paisley Petals.   The "H" is from another new set called Hope and Strength.  Here's a closeup.

Hope and Strength is a new set that will be in the Summer mini catalog (starts in May).  This is a very special set as it is a part of SU's Making a Difference program.   For every stamp set that is purchased SU will donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  I will be sharing  with you more sneak peeks in the coming weeks.   In case you did not know what the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®  is about, BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide.  I love the simple image and the message of Hope and am going to try and hold on to that today.
