Recently, I have been playing with Blending Brushes .  I thought a card that featured the layering of ink would be a good one for theme of Layer Up.

I used the Blending Brushes and blended Polished Pink, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight ink on  Basic White cardstock.   As much as I liked the blended ink background I decided that I wanted to add another layer, so I added a layer of Shimmery White Embossing paste and the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks.  This embossing paste is my favorite, not only does it add texture it adds a glittery finish too.

Another layer I added was the thanks.  This die cut is from the Amazing Thanks dies.  I wanted something plain and simple to finish the card and this die cut was just the thing.  I also added another layer, the black twine.

I hope you can see the sparkle in the Shimmery Embossing Paste.  It add so much shine.

Now it is time to check out what the talented Teri West has created for you.

  1. That looks STUNNING! I always forget about embossing paste – so much so, that when I went to use it last week, it had dried up. 🙁

  2. An elegant and brilliant card! Me too the shimmer paste is my favorite and with the ink work on the back I think you can really see how it seems to take on the color of the background while still being luminous . Well done and thank you for sharing!

  3. Simply stunning, Sharon! Love how you layered up the ink blended background with the Shimmery Embossing Paste. Thanks for the inspiration as always and for hopping with us. xx
