Create with Connie and Mary Challenge 441
It is Thursday and it's time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge! This week it is a sketch challenge.
Nice sketch right? It just so happens that this sketch is also a great way to announce that the Stitched Shapes framelits are back and available to order. You can read more about these great framelits HERE.
I haven't used my A Little Foxy DSP stack in a while. Sometimes I focus too much on the new and forget to use items from the annual Stampin' Up! catalog. I am going to make more of an effort to mix a little from both catalogs in my projects. I used the Succulents Framelits dies to create the many layered flower. I have yet to use them to make succulents but it is good to know that they also make lovely flowers. The ribbon is from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo pack and the sentiment from the Suite Sentiments set. The great thing about the Suite Sentiments set is that it has a sentiment that coordinates with each of the different suites. Love all the different fonts and sayings. I think this set will be used a lot.
I like to add a little something to the inside of the card. Usually it is just a little strip of DSP. I love how it ties the outside and inside together.
I hope you will join in the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #441. Be sure to head to the Create with Connie and Mary site and check out what the other members of the design team created.
This is definitely a nice mix of older and new supplies! The succulent dies look amazing stacked together in Real Red! Such a nice punch of color.
Ooooh, I never thought of doing the Stitched Framelits on DSP! What an “aha moment”! Wonderful choice of the bold colored flower on the neutral background.
Very pretty card Sharon. I love the DSP you’ve used. I’m guilty of forgetting about my old favourites she. A new catalogue comes out too!
I absolutely love the way you layered the DSP beneath the flower! The gray patterns would leave a backdrop for just about anything. You bold red flower is stunning!
Just gorgeous how you brought this sketch together with your choice of papers and that beautiful pop of bright color. I love it!
It was the first time I thought to do that too! I forgot how much I liked this stack of DSP!
I am trying to use some of the things I purchased from the Annual Catalog. I tend to forget about all those lovely things as soon as a new catalog comes out!
Thanks Lisa. I love that there is a more neutral design on the back side of most of the DSP. Makes it so much more versatile!
Thanks Barb. I love red on my cards and try and use it often!
